Diet/juice to increase hemoglobin
Hi, My father is diagnosed with CKD 5. Undergoes peritoneal dialysis for 5 years. His hemoglobin has reached 9.5. We alredy give him mirsera 50 fortnightly. I wanted to know how can we increase his hemoglobin without raise phosphate and potassium level.

Anaemia in patients of kidney diseases is usually due to lack of erythropoietin which can be replenished by injections at regular intervals.

Iron tablets, iron infusion, ERYTHROPOITIN injection, regular dialysis. This is what is required. Avoid fruit juices as they will increase potassium levels.
