As your father is suffering fever and pain his appetite must be low. Give him easy to digest foods. Especially at night dinner 2 hrs before bedtime.
Give him light soups . Chicken or vegetable clear soups. Fluid Khichri with some curd if no fever.
Next Steps
some freshly cut apple without skin. avoid fried, sugary foods which are difficult to digest. avoid too much of fibre at the moment.
Health Tips
you can slowly increase the quantity as he starts digesting better.

Dear Practo user
With out knowing the medication and present health profile of your dad, recommending something won’t work.
I would suggest you to take a personalised consultation from a qualified dietitian..

Diet should be plenty of cooked vegetables, cooked sprouts and fruitslike papaya, banana, figs, almonds, walnuts, drydates, guava etc.
Avoid spicy oily,masalafoods,nonveg,bakeryfoods,preserved foods,fastfoods etc
Walkyoga, exercise everyday for one hour atleast.
Citrus fruits are good to keep oneself healthy and fit.
Since this is a case of COVID positive with secondary complications involved, I would suggest a personal consultation for the same.
Have been guiding many COVID positive patients and diets and guidelines vary depending upon individual, their lifestyle and health issues. For now, I can only suggest that make sure he is hydrated, and no sugar or any refined foods.
