It is true that diet plays an important role in managing allergic rhinitis and asthma, but it may not completely replace medications prescribed by your doctor. A Satvik diet, which emphasizes fresh, natural, and easy-to-digest foods, can help reduce inflammation and strengthen the immune system, which may positively impact your asthma symptoms.
Next Steps
1. For Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis: • Include foods rich in antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids (e.g., fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds) to reduce inflammation. • Avoid common allergens such as processed foods, dairy, and fried items. • Stay hydrated and consume herbal teas like ginger or tulsi, which may help alleviate respiratory symptoms. 2. For Indigestion (Post-Gallbladder Removal): • Eat smaller, frequent meals. • Limit fatty and greasy foods to avoid strain on digestion. • Incorporate high-fiber foods and probiotics (like curd or buttermilk) to support gut health. Consult with a dietitian for a personalized diet plan tailored to your specific needs and conditions.
Health Tips
While diet can help, asthma is a chronic condition, and you should not stop or modify medications without consulting your doctor. • Avoid triggers for asthma, such as dust, pollen, or strong fragrances. • Practice deep breathing exercises or yoga to improve lung function.
