Diarrhea vomiting & fever 8mo old girl
She has diarrhea & vomiting for last 3 days. Diarrhea ochre in color with watery milk solids consistency with some mucus. Diarrhea 3-4/day & vomiting 1-2/day. Onset sudden with 102 fever. now intermittent 99f. Only giving breastmilk, h2o, & ors. (Veg,no egg/dairy) vomits solid food. Liquids fine. no sign of dehyd. Should I give probiotics? Ideas?

Hi thanks for writing to Practo consult. Its important you visit pediatrician to rule out any underlying health issue. If all is well you can continue the probiotic. But physical evaluation by a doctor is a must.

Yes u can start Probiotics......continue ors ..u can add antiemetic for vomiting like syp ondem 2.5 ml sos....
