Diarrhea returning frequently

My husband is suffering from frequent diarrhea from past one month it gets fine when he pops a lopermaid but comes back again in 5 days we consulted doctor he gave fibril powder but it isn't helping is it anything to worry abt pls help

Hello. I'm Dr.Yogesh Kr Sharma. By reading the history, my only advice to you respected people, that seek a good gastroenterologist in your area, which can find the exact cause and remember Treatment is easy, but making accurate diagnosis is difficult. Popping up loperamide is not a good idea because its an opoid & give a temporary relief. May be your husband is suffering from irritable bowel disease, God forbid. You are taking no specific action and frequent diarrhoea can cause electrolyte disturbance in your blood and the most common symptom would be lethargy, headache, poor oro- fecal hygiene. Take care and have a hasty recovery. Bye.
