Diabetes type 2mellitus
My husband has been diagnosed as type2 diabetes mellitus.His fasting blood glucose is 272 and post prandial is 351.What should I do further?Can we take some time?Is it dangerous?Is it needs medical emergency?He was having ors 2 days before as his head was spinning and vomit happened.Doc gave vertin8 mg and after taking it he was feeling ok and after test report we got this.Now he is absolutely fine.

He is diabetic. Needs treatment immediately. Get his HBA1C, renal profile, thyroid profile, Fundoscopy by ophthalmologist. Start on lifestyle modification, diet with out sugar, consult me on phone for further treatment.

It is an emergency. As we don’t know how long the sugars have been so high. Get an Hba1c. Will likely need treatment with insulin for a short time or medication long term. But insulin will act more quickly.
