Diabetes, protein 1+NOW, Creatinine 1.2
Hi, I am diabetic. All tests normal apart from Hba1c in Jan - 9%, Protein 2+ in urine in Jan, then consulted general physician he noticed high bp. Doctor started hypertension medicine stamlo 5mg in Jan for 15 days with glynamac mv 2 twice for sugar. After 15 days tests repeated my FBS - 130, PPBS - 211, protein 2+ Doctor changed my bp medicine to telma 40 and glynamac mv2 twice. Second month treatment - FBS 110, PPBS - 189,  with telma 40 twice, glynamac mv2 and vidagliptin 50 once . Now protein 1+. Since three months I have been testing creatinine but it stands at 1.2.  Could you please help me lower my creatinine. Completely avoiding protein and taking veggie salad and fruits as advised by Doctor. For 20 days doctor prescribed nefrosafe as well. After that also still 1.2. Thanks Doctor for advice.

With the available reports It looks like diabetes has affected your kidneys That's why you are losing protein through the urine Many a times ,1st problems are noted in urine that is losing protein through urine Next the serum creatinine will start increasing The main culprit being the protein loss which is damaging your kidneys You need to reduce it as much as possible which happens with sugar control and tabs to protect your kidneys Yes at 34yr , 0.8 would be ideal Again we don't know your base line Other imp thing is what method is used to check your serum creatinine levels Wch is important ,slight variation tend to occur with different methods Completely avoiding protien will end up makin you malnourished, It's a myth that protein damages kidneys Unless you Consume too much Which is usually not possible in Indians Unless you are into some body building or consuming adultered supplements U can Consume as per ur weight upto 0.8 gm/kg per day Proteins are the building blocks of your body Nefrosave n al are not guidelines based It has just has a fancy name
