Trace 1+ protein in 4 year kid
Hi , My kid is having edema in eyes after waking . She has be identified few :- 1. The protein/creatine ratio identified 0.31 mg/dl once in random test ( after the first urine ) 2. The protein/creatine ratio identified on next day in morning first urine after waking is 0.19 mg/dl 3. Took microalbumin/creatin ratio in random test it is 10.1 mg/dl 2. No albumin in the routine test in random , morning first urine 3. The dip stick analysis shows trace 1+ (30 mg/dl) during day time , observed twice 4. Took Ultra sound, observed minimal fluid in abdominal cavity. 5. LFT test looks normal 6. ECG looks normal 7. Doctor did physical examination , no BP, no weight gain . Only edema in eye persist and trace 1+ observed in day time urine. Please advise is it alarming . Kindly advise next step .

First of all... There's nothing to worry When a child had edema around both eyes, problem should be in kidney or liver or heart. Your work up shows normal functioning of all these organs So nothing is alarming Some kids normally have minimal edema around eyes when they wake up
