Diabetes - foot fracture
I was diagnosed 8 years back but did not take seriously. as a result, my sugar is now out of control. also, a week ago i fell and fracture my arm. will it take a long time to heal? what should i do now?

If it is a simple fracture without any wounds, then it should heal as it would in a non diabetic individual.Good blood sugar control is very important to promote wound healing.HIgh blood sugars increase the risk of infection and delayed wound healing.You may want to consult a well qualified diabetologist regarding your diabetes control
