Deworming kid
Hello Doc, Doctor had prescribed Bandy plus tab for my son. I crushed it and mixed it with water and gave him. When I searched it in Google it says we should not give to children who weigh less than 30kg. Now little anxious to know is it safe or no?

Deworming is a very safe procedure. Albendazole (Bandy) syrup or tablet which ever child can take. WHO recommendations Preventive chemotherapy (deworming), using annual or biannual single-dose albendazole (400 mg) or mebendazole (500 mg) is recommended as a public health intervention for all young children 12–23 months of age, preschool children 1–4 years of age, and school-age children 5–12 years of age. A half-dose of albendazole (i.e. 200 mg) is recommended for children younger than 24 months of age.
Next Steps
Bandy can safely be taken
