She had her 3rd(12 weeks-2days) month scan.In that, in advice it was given as Detailed Anamoly-level 2. I just want to know, what it actually refers. Is that necessary to treat that and will that affect the fetus.

It only means that one more scan will be required when she is 18-22 weeks. Whatever could be seen at 12 weeks has been seen and it is normal.

It means that the next she needs will be when she is 18-22 weeks pregnant. This is called as an anomaly scan because the radiologist will look for anomalies/ defects in the baby. It will be a detailed scan to check each body part
