I go with idea of Dr. Priyadarahini. Combination of counselling along with her medicines would help her .
If the anxiety issue or the trigger is handled by a session with a counsellor she can manage herself wherever in the world.

Hi, her anxiety and sleep problem needs medications. The medications and the dosage that you have mentioned are not habit forming. Don't worry about the side effects.. Treatment is essential. Final year MBBS is a very important career defining year.
Next Steps
Kindly meet a psychologist and do CBT and try other approaches in addition to medicines. Combined effect gives long lasting effects.
Health Tips
Be positive. Anxiety may occur as the child is away from home. But this year of education is essential.
