Depression recovery% in practice
I'm suffering from depression from around 4 years even after taking many meds like nexito, deveniz, buprop etc. Now on Nex20,my condition is just 80% better. I have taken therapy which didn't help. My psychiatrist told me that very less people recover completely from melancholia if it was depression it would have become alright in 1 year. He changed the illness. Someone told me it can be dysthymia. I'm confused that should I take more meds or just try to live my life without this disturbance coz if I talk to different psychiatrists, everyone has different opinion. According to most studies(star*d) antidepressants help only 50-60% but psychiatrists say it is 100% treatable. Plz tell me that what percentage of people really recover completely and get back to their previous self?? Plz tell the truth otherwise feel betrayed and start having suicidal thoughts.
