More details about how long she has been unwell and for how long she has been talking the above said medications are needed to further comment. However with above info, the medication she is on are the ones used for depression. Other causes for depression like any metabolic conditions, hypertension, diabetes, vitamin deficiency can also contribute to depression in elderly.. regular follow up with psychiatrist is also necessary.. And also, medications for depression take at least 2-3 week to show some response..
Next Steps
continue with above medications if it has been less than 2weeks since it has been started.. try find if there are any other causes and treat the same after consultation with your doctor
Health Tips
watch for drowsiness (with clonotril), and keep a watch on her memory also as early stages dementia can manifest as depression in elderly.
