Tryptophan has been advocated as a supplement for the treatment of depression and sleep problems, but the supplement in form of medicines can cause several unpleasant side effects in people and there have been previous reports of serious side effects like eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome.  There are various food items which have natural ingredient of tryptophan, better is to include those food items in your daily diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, cheese, fish, peanuts , pumpkin and sesame seeds, milk, turkey, tofu and soy, chocolate.
