Major signs of clinical depression are 1)negative view of self. (Example: I am worthless or good for nothing, etc) 2) negative view of experience (example: all these things happen only for me) 3) negative view of future ( things will not work out). As cognitive therapist we call this cognitive triad. If you have these negative views it strongly indicates depression. Coupled with hopelessness suicidal thoughts can occur. Right antidepressants can really help you. If you can parallely work with a cognitive behavioural therapist may be even more helpful.
