How long will it take to overcome depression and sad mood by medication!? Any other alternative and  why i feel low esteem during this period? It is curable right??

Good dose of a good antidepressant takes 6-8wks for noticeable improvement. After the is point it is recommended to take medications for 3-6months and then taper off if first episode, longer if this is a recurring problem. Alternatives and/ or add on treatments: CBT- good for addressing your low self esteem if this is a recurring pattern- takes time TMS- Transcranial magnetic stimulation- takes less time but can be expensive Both the above are non invasive options

Yes, it is curable, takes 2-4 weeks with medication to feel better, but treatment course is usually for 6 months

You need a detailed assessment to find out why you are undergoing this issue , there are biological and psychological causes for depression and after assessing medication will help you as soon as 2 to 4 weeks , meanwhile physical exercises will be beneficial

Yes it is curable. Generally it is self limiting disorder but to limit Impairment in day to day activity and to increase productivity it is better to use treatment. Using medicine will prevent establishment of chronicity. Better consult Psychiatrist as early as possible.
