Depression complete recovery
I suffered from major depression 3 years back for which I took escitalopram 20mg  for 2 months which did nothing and I stopped it. I started taking Ayurvedic medicine (Supragya) which made me 90% better in 5-6 months but since then I'm not improving. I'm taking Escitalopram from an year now but it is not helping. I took Venlafaxine but it had side  effect like chest pain even after taking pentocid. The main problem I have is that, I used to have very sharp memory and intellect coz of which my personality was very good but after suffering from depression my way of doing things like studying, talking, understanding situations has changed. I don't know what can I do for it. Is it normal in people who suffered from depression to have these symptoms?? Can I get back to my previous identity ever?? Do I need to try new medicines like desvenlafaxine or bupropion? I don't want to take them coz they are for depressive symptoms but I don't have them. Help plz, what can be done??

To treat any mental disorder Medical management as well as mental health management both are necessary. U must consult psychologist or me online immediately and take proper psychotherapy with counselling to deal with ur depression as well as to know the causes behind ur depression. Consult ur psychiatrist and follow up every 3-6 months interval. Homoeopathy and ayurveda also has a very good results in depression ,u can also consult any one for better complementary treatment.

Hi I believe should give psychotherapy a try, it is said tht medications n therapy combined are way more effective than medications alone. Get in touch with a counselor near you.
