But people struggling with depression can face worsening of symptoms then good if yoga is done without keeping things in mind like: 1. it's hard for people with depression to find the drive to do such an intensive activity on a daily basis, and setting unrealistic goals can increase the level of depression. 2. Meditation practice in yoga can give time for intrusive negative thoughts to impact more and worsen the symptoms. Keeping all these in mind, yoga is a good practice but can not be a sole cure for depression. Depression require proper care and treatment under supervision of healthcare professional.
