I've been dealing with mental illness most of my life and it's become a problem. I've been diagnosed with anxiety and depression but lately it's been worse. I've tried therapy but it didn't really work for me and I had to stop going because I couldn't afford it. I've also tried meds which didn't really work for me either. I feel like there's more too it but I don't want to self diagnose, I think I have bipolar personality disorder and it's ruining my life but I need a profressional to confirm it

When you join a gym, it takes consistent efforts and time to get your body in a physically fit condition and after that you still have to continue to maintain the fitness. And people spend a lot of money as well to achieve this goal. The same holds true for mental health and mental fitness. Therapy takes time and consistency on your part as well as the therapist’s. So you will have to continue therapy along with medication. Anxiety and depression keep getting worse over a period of time and as you are young right now, it may take lesser time than usual. Be mentally prepared to give therapy a few months. But the end result is your mental health and that is what should matter. Do not self diagnose or self medicate. It’s never the right solution.
