It sounds like you have been struggling with chronic depression and anxiety for a long time, which has affected your daily life, energy levels, and ability to work. The constant worry about the future and fear of serious illnesses like cancer or heart disease can make it even harder to focus and take action. Since you’ve already tried multiple medications, including Fludoc (fluoxetine), Nexito (escitalopram), Alprazolam, Clorozome, and now Dothip (dothiepin), it seems like your symptoms have been persistent despite treatment. This suggests that while medication might help manage some symptoms, it may not be addressing the root cause. The cycle of overthinking, making plans but not being able to act, and feeling stuck is a common pattern in ruminative depression, where thoughts become overwhelming and prevent action. To truly break free from this, you need a holistic approach combining therapy, lifestyle changes, and structured goal-setting techniques. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can help retrain your mind to manage excessive worry and reduce fear-driven thinking. Behavioral activation techniques can help you take small, structured steps to regain motivation and energy. Practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques can also calm your nervous system and reduce overthinking. Since you’re already on medication, discussing possible adjustments with your psychiatrist could also be beneficial. The key is to slowly rebuild momentum in daily life, focusing on small, achievable goals rather than overwhelming plans. Consult an astute psychiatrist and get the prescription revised. Better rational combinations will help you over come most, if not all the symptoms.
