Depressed and unmotivated
I feel very unmotivated with every single activity in life. I recently had an almost mental breakdown due to job stress. I took a week's leave hoping meeting family and friends would help. None of that is working though. I started running for 20 minutes each day to make sure I keep myself occupied with atleast something personal apart from job. I feel I need help but I am unsure where to get started.

Hi you need to understand why u are getting stressed. Until u understand the root cause u will not improve. Handling stress needs u to understand that its part of life and acceptance is better. Ur inner happiness is within you do not link with the external any factors whether work family relationship etc. U need a help to understand ur thought process and how to change for being positive in life. If u keep saying 10 times u will feel it. So keep saying positive. Take the help of good clinical psychologist and if advised for medication then go for it. Loss of interest, decreased concentration and attention, feeling low and disturbed sleep or appetite are some of the signs of depression. Consult a psychiatrist who will assess you in detail. If you are feeling suicidal or hopeless, seek professional help immediately.
