If you are talking about high frenum attachment always better to get it treated. Now painless laser frenectomy is available and comparatively comfortable. For 0.5 mm gap no need to go with componeer you can get direct composite diastema build up which is minimal invasive and cost effective. Clinical assessmant is mandatory.
