I'm 27yrs old male, I have crossbite and gaps between my teeth. A dentist recommended me to get braces however I'm not sure if getting braces at this age will be helpful and also whether or not it will cause any side effects as weakening the root of teeth or gums.
I wanted more opinions on this. Please consult.

You can very well go for braces treatment .You will get favourable results .Braces treatment will be done over a period of 1 yr or more ..so the tooth alignment is done in slow and steady manner ..there will be no weakening or damage to your tooth or gums.Age is not a big factor in determining the trt outcome ..go ahead and get braces ..all the best .
