Dental clinic visit
Hi, is it safe to visit dentist during given situation in pune ? I need to get RCT done and I am afraid of losing the tooth in case of further delay.

If painkillers is not relieving your pain u can consult dentists who are taking necessary precautions and doing treatment.
Atleast starting RCT can be done to relieve your pain ,call the dentist follow all the steps advised for visiting

No Sir , I wouldnot recommend you to visit any clinic in this time period.
-Betadine mouthwash in luke warm water ( regularly)
- Colgate pain out ( incase it pains)
In case od severe a Pain :-
- Tab Spridex 500 mg
1 tab bd x 5 days.
- Tab Zerodol SP
1 tab bd x 5 days
- Tab Rabtac D
1 tab bd before meal x 5 days .

If you feel you cannot manage the pain with tablets please go to a dentist who’s open & get the first sitting for a root canal done to get rid of the pain .. if not too bad take a course of antibiotics & wait till your personal doc is available

Call ur nearby dentist if possible .Depends upon the localoty you stay. It's highly recommend if u stay indoors if ur area is under red zone.

Visit Hospital/ Dental clinics only in cases of emergency.
Dental emergency can be severe pain, swelling, trauma/fracture etc.
Rest routine check ups and treatment can wait.

Avoid if you dont have any pain now. It is good for you and even doctor unless its an emergency.Due to covid pandemic only emergency dental procedures like severe swelling, unbearable pain even after taking medication are only treated now. Dont worry about losing the tooth simple precautions will save your tooth. If you can manage until everything becomes normal its best. But if any pain r swelling occurs on an emergency basis dentists are available all over india so dont panic.stay home stay safe .

3. avoid too hot r cold food.
4. Do warm salt water rinsing 5-6 times daily.
5. In case of mild pain you can take ketrol Dt-10mg thrice daily for 5 days

With the current lockdown aerosol generation procedures are withhold ...in case it’s an emergency u will have to ask the nearby dentists available if they can do your root canal with the personal protective equipments .. For this you may be likely Charged for the additional ppe used .
