Hello mate,
This is a wonderful question. Well as Dentist, no one will advice you to consume alcohol, though consuming in excess is not good for your overall health. If you have braces in your mouth you need to keep a check on consuming hard food items and make sure your clean it very well as if not cleaned properly it might cause increases risk for cavity formation, brush twice daily and use of mouthwash is must.
