Dear Practo user,
Anaesthesia can be administered by various methods for C section. Mostly, it is administered through the back and lower portion of the body becomes numb. At the beginning, it is slightly painful. After few minutes, usually, the effect takes place. Usually, you don't feel anything in the lower part of the body. One is conscious during the operation.
