A little variation is normal in cycles however u should do a pregnancy test if sexually active. Cervix is generally a firm and tight organ, u dont need to check your cervix for it

You need a pregnancy test if you are sexually active
If not this is not an irregular cycle
You need to wait till day 37 as upto 37 day cycle is considered normal
