Decayed and Scared.
So my first molar is decayed for last 10-12 years. I don't remember. I was a kid back than. I controlled my pain throughout all these years without using any medicine. My tooth just hurts randomly while eating something hot or cold. Or while something getting stuck there. There is a hole in my teeth now. And it has become big too. I never bothered to visit dentist. As it didn't hurt much before. And my parents always discourage me by telling if I pull out one teeth other ones will loosen up. Ironically I have always brushed my teeth twice a day. And my other teeth are more than healthy. I want to know. Is there any alternate way than pulling my tooth out to get it fixed? And can a dentist grip a half broken teeth with nothing to grip without pulling my gums off? I am not scared about other teeth coming off. Then am terrified of the videos of the cure on YouTube. PS Thanks for the help in advance. :)

Hello... first of all don’t worry so much and avoid taking wrong advices.. if your tooth has enough structure available, root canal treatment with a crown can be possible and if the tooth structure is too less, then the tooth needs to be extracted.. during extraction of the tooth, your adjacent teeth won’t be affected..

If the tooth has enough tooth structure it can be saved by doing a root canal treatment. If not, then you might need to extract it. Extraction will be done safely without injuring any other teeth- that is what a dentist is trained for. So don’t worry, consult a good dentist as soon as possible to get your treatment done
