Dark brown stool
Hi doctor,
I was suffering from loose( not diahera) and gastric issue since 2 month.
I started antibiotics , probiotic and colospa( for IBS) since 5 days.
Now , i am seeing dark brown stool mix with normal . It is hard to pass sometime.
Is this due to course of medicine??
Sorry but i am sharing picture of morning stool.
Please suggest.

This is called melena
Some sort of bleeding in upper gastrointestinal tract will cause this
You need endoscopy and colonoscopy along with CT scan abdomen

Drink plenty of water. 4 liters per day.
Avoid spicy and oily food.
Have high fibre diet.
Avoid alcohol.
Avoid tobacco.
Have green leafy vegetables and fruits.
Avoid tea and coffee.
Do some physical exercises on a regular basis.
Avoid carbonated drinks.
Don't take stress
