D dimer on rise post Covid

Post Covid my patient who is diabetic 70yr male, was prescribed blood thinners,steroid , amoldipine, multivitamin for 15 days, post that only blood thinners and steroid were stopped and rest medicine were continued.
His latest report says his d dimer is high. Should we start our old blood thinners medicine(Dabigatran 90 OD) till our doctor is available or should we wait for 1 week?. Is this di dimer Level very high or alarming? His pulse rate resting is 80-90bpm , BP is normal and spo2 96.
