Cyproheptadine has side effects like causing sleepiness. Better to avoid any appetite stimulant as all of them have side effects. what is the weight and height? This food avoidance is a temporary phase. Soon he will start eating. Give fresh home cooked food. Avoid outside and packaged food. This will improve digestion and he will start eating again

Appetite stimulants should not be used because of their potential central side effects.as rightly suggested fresh home cooked food is the key. Second the child can be iron deficient. So get an iron profile and then start iron supplementation. If hemoglobin and iron are less it causes lack of appetite.
