Cut tongue by teeth and it's bleeding
Hello Doc, My Husband bit his tongue while chewing and it got a severe cut that started to bleed. Used cold water to rinse the area and ice cube to stop the blood. Blood gt stopped after 10-15 mins but now he have a blood clot on his tongue n it's painful. How much time it will take to heal a wound? What can we do to heal this cut and what are the safety measures he can take to prevent the wound from any further infection. Please suggest some food items that can help him to heal his wound fast. And prevent it from getting worse. Eagerly waiting for response. Thanks you

In my opinion your husband shall be fine soon.Do not disturb the clot.Apply Rexidin-M forte gel 3-4 times a day and rinse off gently after 15 min.
Next Steps
You can give him Tab ketorol dt 10 mg SOS.
Health Tips
Avoid giving him hot and spicy foods for a while cause that could aggrevate the pain. Prefer having cold foods as it will have a soothening effect. You can definately go for something like Ice creams which would generally help.
