INVESTIGATION : 3D CT SCAN OF LEFT HIP JOINT WITH FEMUR
THIN AXIAL AND REFORMATED SAGITTAL, CORONAL AND 3D IMAGES THROUGH LEFT HIP JOINT HAVE BEEN OBTAINED, FOCUSSING NECK & INTER-TROCHANTERIC REGION OF LEFT FEMUR.
There is evidence of well defined sclerotic area with adjacent periosteal reaction noted along anteromedial cortex of proximal shaft of femur adjacent to lessere trochanter. Well defind lytic lesion of size 7 mm x 7 mm is noted in medial cortex of neck just aove the above mentiones area.
Moderate left hip joint effusion is noted.
Well defined eophytic c bony area is noted along posteromedial aspect of lower shaft of left femur , measures about 22 mm x 8 mm.
Articular margins and joint space of left hip joint appear normal.
No evidence of bone erosion or subchondral sclerosis.
Surrounding soft tissue structures and inter-muscular planes appear normal.
No evidence of soft tissue calcification, mass lesion or collection.
Right hip joint is unremarka
