Hi, CT scan uses x rays which is a type of ionizing radiation. It used 7 m SV dosage which is equal to natural radiation a human exposed over 2 years. With one ct scan the risk is very very less but repeated scans can increase the blood cancer risk. Relatively children and women are at more risk than adult males.
