Hi doctor what does negative CRP mean? Earlier it was 8 and now they have mentioned only negative . Ok

There are 2 ways to measure CRP. Qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative test gives you if its positive or negative. Quantitative test gives you the amount of the marker. If its negative, you need not worry of the levels. It is basically an inflammatory marker and raised in usual infections, inflammatory problems, trauma etc

CRP mean c reactive protein which is from the liver and is usually spiked up in case of inflammation and infection
