Crop of oral ulcers
I recently underwent wisdom tooth extraction in my right lower jaw. The procedure went smooth and took just about 5 minutes. I was prescribed antibiotics and painkillers for 5 days. However from the 2nd day, oral ulcers started cropping up - 2 on tongue, 1 each on lower & upper lip and inner cheek - 5 in 5 days. I was suggested to stop antibiotics after 3 days, but no respite since then. Not sure if I will get more. The tooth extraction area is fully healed, but I am not able to eat anything. What is the remedy now?

The ulcers could be due to the antibiotics use,or due to trauma of the the extraction. The ulcers should heal within a week's time usually. You could apply Dologel CT, locally on the ulcers before having food,it will anesthesise the area,so you can comfortably have your food.also gargle with warm saline twice a day till it heals properly.

Hi Based on your history and the sites you describe, you could be having cold sore like ulcers which may be completely unrelated to the extraction or could have been triggered by the trauma associated with the extraction which is unavoidable. Have you had such ulcers before ?
Next Steps
You do have to get yourself checked with a dentist, who ll need to examine the character of the ulcers and associated history and accordingly prescribe ointments or gel for local application. You could also see an Oral Medicine specialist for further evaluation.
Health Tips
Avoid spicy foods for a few days and too hot foods as that ll cause pain / burning.
