Creatinine Level 5.8
Hi... My Father is under treatment for Kidney Problem since past 6 months . Today his creatinine level is 5.8 mg/dl. Does he require dialysis??? He has diabetes and Blood pressure. Other reading: Sodium-137, serum plasma urea- 186, serum Uric acid - 6.1

Dialysis depends not only the creatinine value but also on the symptoms. If he’s not having any symptoms then I suggest to create an AV fistula at the earliest to prepare for dialysis, which will take a month after surgery to get matured. Meanwhile adjust drugs to try to push dialysis for later
