Creatinine increased from 1.6 to 2
My father started getting protein in urine from last year, since last 6 months he is getting some treatment, 6 months ago the creatinine was 1.5. last month it was 1.67 but then we changed the doctor and he prescribed kerendia and stopped ctd 12.5 and within one month it has increased from 1.6 to 2. Not sure if this is due to the medicine or what. Don't want this to increase now. How to stop the progression. Sugar and blood pressure we have controlled now. I have attached the report for reference.

Hi Your father having a protein losing kidney disease probably diabetic ?. Kerendia is newly approved drug to reduce this protein leak and slow down kidney disease progression. However initially there maybe fall in GFR (creatinine going up) upon starting this drug and may later stabilise/ improve. Creatinine may worsen as natural progression of kidney disease as well. Also there are other drugs which can be considered in this case.

I'm assuming ur father is diabetic. Kerendia is actually meant to stop diabetic kidney disease progression but since ur father has had an increase in creatinine, it is worthwhile to.stop.the medication.and see if there is an Improving.
