Creatinine
During angioplasty, in routine tests my creatinine was 1.8, my doctor said I have CKD . I have no other symptoms or problems. What does CKD mean , please explain in detail . My creatinine level has always been high without any other significant issues.

Hi To say CKD creatinine must have been elevated for more than 3 months, however it maybe detected late as there won’t be any major symptoms. If you are diabetic or hypertensive it could be because of that… Need for details including urine analysis, ultrasound and eye status.

Are u diabetic? Chronic kidney disease or ckd means u hav a problem in the kidney, either structure or function wise, which has been there for more than 3 months. If creatinine remains at this level, u wil not hav any major issues But regular followup with nephrologist is essential to ensure that creatinine doesn't increase further
