Crackling knees
I went on strenuous hike a few years ago and my knees began to crackle painlessly which I've ignored but more recently the crackling accompanies some discomfort. Also there is discomfort if my knees are bent continuously for an hour or so. If I keep stretching my knees the discomfort goes away.

Hello it looks like you have strained your knees... it's quite possible that it is because of lack of exercise and suddenly going for such Trek..as in no proper preparation or warm up...try to rest well..it's better you also seek orthopaedician opinion...you can use ice packs on that and do mild exercises for relief... thank you
