Dear sir/mam,
My wife aged 43 year. Her blood sugar checked at home and found 130 fasting. She is having reading in same line between 115 to 130 in fasting for 4 -5 years . She is not taking any medication. Whether she can take covid vaccine

She can take vaccination without any problem. Home finger stick sugars vary with diet/ stress and exercise. They are not the most accurate to diagnose or exclude diabetes. Would also recommend obtaining Hba1c, fasting and PP sugar in the lab to assess diabetes control and need for medicines if any. Gold standard is Hba1c which shows 3 month average

Diabetes is not a contraindication to covid vaccine. She can take it if she has no other contraindication.
