In your case, home isolation and routine care can be taken. Kindly follow the below guidelines: 1. Physical distancing of atleast 6 meters. Preferably the sick individual should have a separate room. 2. indoor mask use. Preferably a double mask (surgical mask on top of a N95 mask) should be used. 3. strict hand hygiene. Hands should be thoroughly washed with soap and water for at least 30 seconds. An alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 70% alcohol can be used. Symptomatic management: 1. Hydration. Patient should have at least 4 to 6 glasses of water everyday. 2. Anti-pyretics can be given under the supervision of a healthcare professional. 3. Multivitamins and Zinc can be given. 4. Stay in contact with treating physician. 5. Monitor temperature and oxygen saturation (by applying a SpO2 probe to fingers). Seek immediate medical attention if: 1. Difficulty in breathing 2. High grade fever/severe cough, particularly if lasting for more than five days 3. Consider hospital admission if: 1. Age more than 60 years. 2. Cardiovascular disease, hypertension. 3. Wear cloth face coverings such as a mask in public settings, especially where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. 7. Ensure regular hand washing with soap and potable water after touching animals and animal products 8. Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with hands; Avoid contact with sick animals or spoiled animal products. 9. Strictly avoid any contact with other animals in the market (e.g., stray cats and dogs, rodents, birds, bats). 10. Symptoms are suggestive of COVID infection. Wait till reports come. Meanwhile do a 6 min walk test at home. Check the saturation before and after the walk test. Oxygen saturation less than 94% should need a medical advice. Meanwhile you can give the patient, T.Paracetamol (500mg) twice daily if fever persists.
