Covid 19 diagnosed
My father age 73 years. He dignosed with covid 19 on 14th june. Mild fever started. After giving paracetamol 650, fever cured. No other symptoms. But from yesterday he is coughing. Reswas syrup given. Coughing not fully gone. Little bit coughing exist. D dimer came 0.87.crp came 9.6. Anything need to worry. Any other medicine??

Covid 19 takes about 15 days to recover initially , from the day first symptom has started. At his age he needs to be undersupervision of a doctor for at least a month.

What is the spo2. Any co morbid diseases.pl definitely consult Pulmonologist online with all the reports and treatment taken. At that age,do not take any risk.

Since his Crp is marginally elevated he will need other medicines besides Reswas and paracetamol. Cough is very common in covid bronchitis. As long as oxygen levels are good we have nothing to worry.
