My 13 month old has been coughing for 5 days now esp during night n does not hav runny nose and fever . The doctor said she has a bit of congestion in her chest has prescribed asthalin syrup n it has come down .. does this mean she has asthma ? Should I be worried?

Even you can recognize an asthmatic attack,just place your ear against her chest or back and if you hear whistling sounds in the breathing,then it IS asthma.
If mild,just give steam inhalations for the cough and decongestant nasal drops for nasal block or increased cough on lying down.
If severe OR very frequent,start nebulizer therapy,which is far better than oral medication.
