My sister is coughing dry continuously for 4 days and she even can't talk properly. Dr. has asked her to give a drip, is it true that she does not have dengue as well?

Dengue presents with fever, severe bodyaches , loss of appetite Having dry cough for four days doesn't conclude that the patient is suffering from dengue A drip is given when patient is unable to accept orally n is dehydrated. To rule out dengue tests like CBC Dengue NS1antigen n serology can be done
Next Steps
get her X ray chest done
Health Tips
put her on anti-histaminics to supress her cough n when reports arrive then put her on proper treatment. giving drip to a patient who is coughing makes no sence
