Dear Patient, Your mother's symptoms—cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, and joint pain in the hands—could indicate multiple underlying conditions such as chronic respiratory diseases (COPD, asthma), arthritis, or even autoimmune disorders. Given her age, it is essential to evaluate lung function, cardiac health, and joint inflammation to determine the right treatment approach. Recommendations: 1. Respiratory Assessment – A detailed lung function test and chest X-ray to rule out any chronic lung conditions. 2. Cardiac Check-up – Since breathlessness with exertion can be linked to heart disease, an ECG and echocardiogram may be needed. 3. Joint Pain Evaluation – Persistent hand pain and tenderness could be due to rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, requiring blood tests and imaging. Since these symptoms require urgent medical attention, I strongly recommend a consultation for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. Kindly reach out to me on WhatsApp at eight zero zero nine eight two one three three two for further guidance.

Home remedies include staying hydrated with warm liquids like tea, soup, or broth, using a humidifier to relieve congestion, gargling with salt water, inhaling steam from a bowl of hot water, and consuming soothing foods like honey, ginger, and chicken soup.

I need more history before suggesting anything. Please consult online or consult a local physician and get examined thoroughly. It can be COPD or something associated with heart
