About 2 months ago I had a cold. The cold went away, but the tickling cough in my throat remained. Recently I consulted a doctor. The doctor prescribed Clavam 625 (1-1-1 for 5 days) and Ambroxol syrup 5 ml (1-1-1 for 5 days). After taking these medicines, the cough became somewhat lighter than before, but it still occurs sometimes—for example after eating or when cold air hits my throat.
It is mainly a tickling or irritating feeling in the throat.
Then I visited the doctor again. The doctor prescribed Levocetirizine 5 mg (one tablet at bedtime for 10 days). Along with that I am also taking Phensedyl DX cough syrup.
However, the tickling cough is not going away. My chest X-ray (P/A view) is normal and there is no other problem—only this throat irritation and cough.
Please suggest some medicine.

Hi
Symptoms are suggestive of hyper allergic airway response . It will me better to consult ENTdoctor , get a 70 degree larngoscopy done and to rule out reflux etiology .
Also need to rule out voice overuse , abuse , environmental allergen exposure
This could be because of any gastric issues also
Take tab pan D every morning 30mins before breakfast
Also do salt water gargling regularly
If not subsiding visit a doc to get examined physically
Hi, this has been a common symptom in patients recently who had viral infections, they have complaint of persistent cough, what u can do is, avoid spicy and cold food, continue doing gargles if your oral examination was normal, take Luke warm water before bed. U can continue cough syrup for some more days and stop. And if it’s a scratching sensation in your throat, get your b12 checked
