Baby has running nose and severe cough. Nasal drops alone given by pediatrician as chest is clear after examination. Can u give kufril LS drops for cough. Weight 7.3 kg. Pl confirm the dosage

Hi. The medical composition of Kufril LS drops are 1. Ambroxol - used to breakdown mucus. 2. Levosalbutamol - expandes the airway (bronchi) 3. Guaiphenesin - used to clear the mucus. These drugs should be used only when necessary. If the chest is clear as you have mentioned, there is no need for these drugs. To tackle running nose in an infant, nebulization and saline nasal drops is usually sufficient.
