My daughter was suffering from cough for the past six months.. Sometimes it is very severe.. Non stop cough at the mid night.. Consulted pulmonologist he said she has wheezing and asked to give seroflo inhaler for a month twice a day.. Will inhaler have any side effects considering her age is only 5 years.. Will it cure wheezing? While using puff she doesn't inhale exhale properly.. All we are told was to hold it for few mins and remove it . Is that fine? Thanks

For control of asthma, one has to use inhalers which have steroids but in very small quantity. She has to be under supervision of a pulmonologist constantly so the inhaler use can be regulated. Though inhalers have least side effects but prolonged use may have some especially in case of children. Proper technique of inhalation is very important. Hence you need to consult a pulmonologist online or offline for proper management of your child’s asthma
